O Polypodium leucotomos é um tipo de feto das regiões tropicais e sub-tropicais da América. Possui um longo historial de utilização pela medicina tradicional nas Honduras, nomeadamente para acalmar e proteger a pele.
Estudos realizados mostraram que o Polypodium leucotomos.
- possui efeitos antioxidantes, calmantes e imuno-moduladores;
- protege o ADN;
- ajuda a neutralizar os radicais livres e as espécies reactivas de oxigénio, em especial o anião superóxido;
- propicia a preservação da estrutura dos tecidos cutâneos

Cada cápsula vegetal contém 500 mg de extracto 4:1 de folhas de Polypodium leucotomos.
Tomar uma a duas cápsulas diariamente de manhã, 30 minutos antes da exposição solar ou seguir as recomendações do seu terapeuta.
Em caso de exposição ao sol, não dispensa a utilização dos protectores solares tópicos.
